The Monaco Institute of Sports Medicine and Surgery has had a GNRB for a year. This machine, enabling the automatic measurement of knee laxity, is a benefit to our daily work with sports accidents and rehabilitation.
The examination is quick (less than 10 minutes to evaluate both knees), painless and reproducible by a trained operator.
Our process includes, along with the examination planned for the knee, completion of a simplified IKDC form.
The automated clinical evaluation (by GNRB) of laxity is proposed as a matter of course to all sports patients presenting with lesions, operated upon or not, of the ACL.
This allows a standardised approach, useful for each group of surgeons or physiotherapist who wants to evaluate the results of a treatment, be it supportive or surgical.
The value of this type of device is evident for people who wish to publish their results.
Finally, thanks to a team of innovative and responsive designers, the GNRB is a promising device for the future.
